Multifunctional Dispersing Chelating Agent HA-AL

1. Dyeing of polyester-cotton blended fabrics
After the polyester portion of the grey fabric is dyed, cotton impurities dissolved in the acidic medium can easily form precipitates in subsequent alkaline dye baths. Due to its dispersing and complexing properties, adding HA-AL prevents such precipitation, which is particularly critical in jig dyeing processes. The recommended concentration is 1~2 g/L, added at the initial stage of dyeing.

2. Dyeing of cotton fabrics with vat dyes
Because HA-AL acts as a protective colloid in alkaline dye baths and has a significant complexing effect on metal ions such as calcium and magnesium, it is highly suitable for dyeing cotton fabrics with vat dyes. Its use eliminates the need for additional special protective colloids or complexing agents. The application concentration in the working solution is 1~3 g/L.

3. Dyeing of cotton fabrics with reactive dyes
When using reactive dyes, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid-type complexing agents should not be used, as they can dissolve metal ions from many dyes, reducing the color fastness of the dyed fabric. In contrast, HA-AL does not affect metal-complex dyes and can therefore replace polyphosphates at the same concentration in reactive dyeing processes.
